About the RPA
 The Russian Phlebological Association (RPA) was established by the famous Russian surgeon, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences V.S. Savelyev more than 20 years ago.

Since that phlebology confirmed itself as an important field of vascular medicine. New era in venous research was opened with studying genetics, cell-cell and molecular-cell interactions in venous remodeling process. Endovenous ablation and deep vein reconstruction techniques were were developed as well as effective algorithms for the diagnostics and prevention of venous thromboembolism.
